LaVita Spuntini

Ciao! Today's blog post features  La Vita Spuntini  which is located on Gordon Street in Glasgow. First when you walk into the restaurant it offers a cozy, vibrant atmosphere, highlighted by lovely pink cherry blossoms in its interior. This busy Italian restaurant is part of a group with other locations in George Square, Byres Road, Bishopbriggs, and Baillieston.

Upon entering La Vita Spuntini, you're greeted by a friendly host who assigns you a waiter to guide you to your table. If it's busy, you can relax by the charming bar and enjoy one of their unique cocktails. I tried the Drumstick cocktail, which was delightful, though it leans toward the pricier side. It's a nice touch to start your evening while soaking in the atmosphere!

The interior is small and intimate, with tables set closely together, enhancing its traditional Italian feel. The ambiance is warm and inviting, with darker lighting creating a cozy environment. While the close seating can feel a bit cramped, the charming décor and bustling vibe make it a nice vibe.

The extensive menu features classic dishes and a wide range of options, La Vita Spuntini is a little different to the other La Vita restaurants as they specialise in Italian tapas-style dining. You can enjoy small portions of pasta and pizza, making it perfect for those who want to sample a bit of everything.

In terms of the pasta , it is homemade however it's not the best quality pasta i've had personally. While some sauces are hits, others might not impress. The chicken carbonara pasta didn’t stand out for me, but the penne salsiccia was a pleasant surprise and possibly the best pasta salsicca dish i've tried. The pizzas are similarly average, not the best pizza you can get in Glasgow but the prices are quite reasonable, with large plates of pasta shareable between two for £13 to £19, the portions are generous and very filling.

Overall, La Vita Spuntini is a beloved spot in Glasgow. It strikes a good balance in terms of affordability, offering decent prices for a variety of dishes. While the food quality isn't top-tier, you generally get what you pay for. The atmosphere is lively and cozy, making it a nice place to enjoy a meal, though it can get quite busy. It’s a solid choice if you're looking for a casual dining experience with shareable plates and a fun vibe!
