LaVita Spuntini  Ciao! Today's blog post features   La Vita Spuntini  which is located on Gordon Street in Glasgow. First when you walk into the restaurant it offers a cozy, vibrant atmosphere, highlighted by lovely pink cherry blossoms in its interior. This busy Italian restaurant is part of a group with other locations in George Square, Byres Road, Bishopbriggs, and Baillieston. Upon entering La Vita Spuntini, you're greeted by a friendly host who assigns you a waiter to guide you to your table. If it's busy, you can relax by the charming bar and enjoy one of their unique cocktails. I tried the Drumstick cocktail, which was delightful, though it leans toward the pricier side. It's a nice touch to start your evening while soaking in the atmosphere!  The interior is small and intimate, with tables set closely together, enhancing its traditional Italian feel. The ambiance is warm and inviting, with darker lighting creating a cozy environment. While the close se...

Santa Lucia, Merchant City  Hi all! On this blog post I’ve decided to focus on the restaurant Santa Lucía in Merchant City. Ive visited a couple of times, and what I truly appreciated was the beautiful interior and friendly staff. The decor has lovely Mediterranean vibes, with the lemons,  white walls and plenty of greenery. It’s a bright space, filled with ambient lighting that creates a welcoming atmosphere. What I also liked was the formal atmosphere, it makes it a wonderful choice for a special meal. Upon arrival, guests are greeted warmly, with jackets taken and drinks offered. Each table has a dedicated server, which adds a personalised touch to the dining experience and sets a positive tone for the evening. During my first visit, I opted for the set menu at £55, which included three courses and ...

Nonna's Kitchen, Cumbernauld  Buongiorno a tutti! After reviewing two pasta restaurants last week, I wanted to share my thoughts on a local near me; Nonna’s Kitchen in Dullatur, Cumbernauld. Around a 25 minute drive from Glasgow, this new location compliments their original restaurant in Kirkintilloch. I’ve visited several times at both locations, more so the one in Cumbernauld since it’s just a short walk from my home. The restaurant has plenty of parking and is set on a golf course, which does provide stunning views from the restaurant. The interior is nice, clean and simplistic, though it doesn’t quite match the ambiance of Zucca. The view is definitely a highlight to the dining experience.  There are s...

The Pasta Project;                                               Sugo Pasta, Mitchell street Glasgow.      Ciao, we meet again! To Christen my first blog post, I will be exploring one of the most talked-about pasta dining experiences in Glasgow: Sugo Pasta. With its easy accessibility in the city centre, the large dining area, and straightforward approach to the restaurant experience, it's a place that's hard to miss! i've visited this restaurant several times, and I’ve noticed a few key aspects worth mentioning. Firstly, even though the staff are very friendly and informative, the atmosphere is fast-paced; the quick service gives it more of a pasta café vibe than a traditional dining experience. In my seven visits over the past few years, I’ve never waited more than 15 minutes for a plate of pasta. This efficiency can be quite app...

An Introduction; Amy Allison  Buongiorno, everyone! 😊 It’s a pleasure to meet you all! I’m Amy, and I have a strong passion for exploring different cuisines in my home city of Glasgow. Italian food, in particular, holds a special place in my heart. The sourdough pizza, a caprese salad with sweet tomatoes, fresh basil, and creamy mozzarella—doesn’t that make your mouth water?😅 However, what I love most about Italian cuisine is the fresh homemade pasta, bursting with rich and comforting flavours.  With this passion in mind, I’ve created this blog to explore the pasta restaurants Glasgow has to offer! I’ll be sharing my experiences, thoughts, and opinions as I navigate through each spot. I’ll be ranking the restaurants based...
